Having seen action in Luxembourg and Germany with the 51st Armored Infantry
Battalion, 4th Armored Division, he was on an advance when wounded by
sniper fire.

He was buried in Luxembourg. Son of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Dishman, he attended
Tustin elementary and high schools, graduation class being that of 1939.

On June 30, 1943, he entered the Army Air Forces ground crew and received
training in the technical school at Chanute Field, Ill. Later he was transferred
for infantry training and went overseas in January, 1945.
