In
the Navy Air Corps he was serving as a torpedo pilot with
Squadron V-T, I, at the time he lost his life, only one
month after he left in Aug., 1943 for the Pacific theatre.
Son of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Wollert, he was a graduate of
Santa Ana junior college.
He entered service in Mar., 1942, and received training
at Corpus Christi naval air training station.
